The second phase of public consultation about unblocking the Croydon bottleneck on the Brighton line starts Monday June 1 and ends September 20 2020. As well as disentangling the tracks in the Selhurst area the work would include increasing the number of platforms at East Croydon from 6 to 8. The station may have to move a little north, but the work is not expected to need any prolonged total closures of the station, though individual platforms will have to be closed. A live chat facility will be available from Monday June 1 to Sunday 28 June.
A hotline on 020 7118 0684 will be available from Monday 1 June until Friday 17 July at the following times:
- Monday to Wednesday – 10:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 16:00
- Thursday – 18:00 – 20:00
- Saturday – 10:00 – 12:00
If conditions allow events will be held in September.
