Tram and Road Works

Due to essential works to replace a section of drainage on the eastern end of the tram network, no trams will run east from East Croydon from 21 October to 29 October 2023.  Normal service will resume on Monday 30 October.

This will affect all services from East Croydon to Beckenham Junction, Elmers End and New Addington. TfL encourages its customers to use replacement buses to continue their journeys.

From 08:00 on 21 October to 23:59 on 29 October TfL will be undertaking road resurfacing work on Addiscombe Road between Cherry Orchard Road and Bissenden Road. As a result, that part of Addiscombe Road will be closed

The project to provide permanent power to the tunnel lighting in the Sandilands Tunnels is now entering the main phase of the project.

During the planned tram closure TfL staff and contractors will be working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and there will be increased vehicle movements around the Lloyd Park area.

Following the planned tram closure, day-time works will continue until late-December with some occasional night-time works.
