A huge thank you to the 27+ volunteers who braved the heat on Sunday 15th June to attend our summer litter pick (despite it being Father’s Day!)
Thanks to your efforts we were able to collect 34 bags of mixed rubbish. Close to our record hall, this is a very significant quantity and we are pleased that our verges and wooded areas are now clearer. In addition, we found some road signs and traffic cones, a glass table top, a kitchen hob, a music centre, some gas cannisters, a suitcase and some abandoned scooters.
We would like to thank the Council for their support and also their contractors, Veolia – who were particularly prompt in picking up the items that had been collected.
